All students in K-6 participate in this assembly. The assembly is run by senior students and is a showcase of Japanese language and culture learning across the school.
 
 
Cultural Notes
　
Ninin Baori 　 refer to notes on the page "二(に)人(にん)ばおり”
Japanese traditional toys 　 there are many traditional Japanese toys. These include：kami fuusen (paper balloons), kendama (ball and cup game), take tonbo (bamboo dragonfly), o-tedama (juggling balls). These toys are all still available in Japan, although no longer regularly played with by children.

ナレーター 2 　 To finish today's Japanese Assembly, we would like to invite 　you all to play janken with (assistant teacher/Japanese teacher) sensei.

ナレーター 2 　 The rules are simple. If you lose, or get the same as (assistant teacher/Japanese teacher) sensei, you must sit down.

　 　 (Assistant teacher／Japanese teacher moves to stage, all audience members stand. All play janken, until all except a few students are eliminated. These students may win a prize - or be given a round of applause.)
